Episode 05 (Part 1): Dina Makram-Ebeid & Amr Adly on COVID and Egypt’s Vulnerable Employment
This two-part fifth episode features American University in Cairo (AUC) scholars Dina Makram-Ebeid and Amr Adly. The guests presented findings from an AUC research project entitled, “Social Protection in Egypt: Mitigating the Socio-Economic Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Vulnerable Employment.” The discussion focused on the project’s research production, which includes papers exploring the impact of the pandemic on precarious labor, health and social public policies, as well as gender-based domestic violence.
